Na de aanpassing van de verjaringstermijnen die in april in werking trad, zet het Sociaal Strafwetboek zijn hervorming voort: vanaf 1 september 2026 treden nieuwe alternatieve sancties in werking (probatie, werkstraf, boete berekend op het uit het misdrijf gehaalde voordeel, elektronisch toezicht).
